Events & Activities

In addition to day sailing, club events and activities, are open to all members in good standing. Some of these include the following:

General Meetings: monthly gatherings with speakers or other informative programs

Board of Director Meetings: monthly meetings are held on the first Monday of each month from 5 to 7pm at the La Jolla Village Square Community Room.

Orientation Sails: on the Ensigns and Commander will be given to club members and anyone interested in joining our club, on the 2nd & 4th weekends of the month. Contact John Beard at (619) 275-5751 to schedule a sail.

Membership Orientation and Sailing Class One: First Monday of each month from 7 to 9pm at the La Jolla Village Square Community Room immediately following the Board of Directors Meeting.

Racing Regattas: monthly, with 4 "fleets" to give everyone, at every level, an opportunity to win

Evening Regattas: Monthly in the Summer months. Fun regattas for everyone followed by a cookout around the pool

Racing Clinics: Twice monthly seminars and practice sessions for sailors interested in improving their racing skills

Racing Practice: bi-weekly Thursdays, lunch on the dock followed by short practice races - no partner required.

Super Sloopers: bi-weekly, lunch on the dock followed by "just-for-fun" formation sailing maneuvers

Chow Runs: members and their families and friends sail together to a restaurant on the bay for brunch

Picnic and Holiday Dinner: yearly summer and winter social gatherings
